    Volunteering cannot be coerced. If it is, it is involuntary servitude, and the government is not allowed to do so per amendment 13 to the US Constitution. (You know, that thing that you swore to protect when you took the oath of office, and have promptly disregarded.) Speak against this principle or you will never get a vote from me, and your opponent will get contributions from me for that sole reason.

    Public service should not be co-erced. It should be from the heart. It also should not be to indoctrinate people to support a governmental agenda. I think some incentive to allow young people to work off college tuition by working in a private public service capacity would be great. That way, they could do good and be rewarded for it in a positive way.
