Bill HR 82 was introduced to repeal the very unfair laws of Social Security, the Government Pension Offset (GPO) and the Windfall Elimination Provision (WEP).
Nine out of ten public employees affected by GPO lose their entire spousal benefit even though their spouse paid Social Security payments for many years. The WEP causes hard-working people to lose benefits they earned themselves, yet bills have been introduced to give Social Security to those who have never paid into Social Security.     I've paid in the forty quarters required to qualify for benefits. What happens to the money that I paid in to the SSI?

    Dear Royal Congressional employees...after stealing all the SS reserves to buy votes you could at least support HR 82...you could at least allow some return over 1%, you could at least allow full inheritance of remaining funds if death is before age 70...
    BUT NO, you are too busy buying votes by borrowing (on our credit card) 150 billion to send us pseudo-Stimulus Checks...no wonder you are the 9% congress....91% are arrogant greedy smiling snakes. Comprendo?

    The working people deserve to get back what they have put in to the Social Security. The percentage that they are alloted to receive back already is a pittance in comparison to what they have earned over their lifetime anyway.

    After the royal congress stole all the SS money to buy votes they could at least do this...but never count on the bozo congress to do anything that actually makes sense. You give money away like it was air...its our money you spineless egomanics...there are no excuses... repeat, there are no excuses. What I would give for 12 year term limits to rid us of the 30-50 year parasites who even move back to the bubble to be consultants after retirement. How you sleep at nite is a mystery to me.

    If one pays it in then one should be able to get it back. Taxes have already been paid on that money and should not be taxed again. It should not be considered windfall since SS is a kind of savings account.
