God adores his creation. No man has the right to impose a sentence of death upon another man unless God is the judge. "Suffer unto me the little children" God says. He also says that "it be better that a man be cast into the sea with a millstone hung around his neck than for him to bring harm to one of Gods own." I pray that the Sudanese government come under the conviction and control of the one true God, the God of the Holy Bible, father, savior, master, judge. This comment has been reported to the site manager. Only 1153 people have signed this? Please, tell your friends. You have access to a computer right now-- chances are that many of your friends do too. And chances are that they, like so many of us in the privileged land of the US, don't have to worry about whether they'll be able to eat tomorrow-- whether they'll be alive to be hungry tomorrow.
I know how disappointing it is when people don't care-- but they don't have even the opportunity to care if they don't know.
Please, just tell someone.

Our nation was guilty in WWII of turning a deaf ear and a blind eye to what was happening in Nazi Germany, which we all say we deeply regret now. Have we not learned from our past? Will we again sit by and do nothing? Will we not be held even more morally accountable now for what has, and is, happening in Sudan? Please help! This comment has been reported to the site manager. God never ever wanted these people to be treated in this fashion. I pray they will be spared. I pray the persecuters will be brought to justice. This comment has been reported to the site manager. It will be reviewed and removed if inappropriate. Thank you!

I was very unaware of the crisis in Sudan until a short time ago. In my English 83A class we read a book called “They Poured Fire on us from the sky”. This book depicted the lives of three young boys “who at the start of the story were all under the age of ten”, who had to endure the chaos. They had to fend for themselves as they were all separated from there families. They only had each other and more children who were in the same position as them. Islamic people mostly ran the Sudanese government and they wanted everybody else in the country to convert to Islam also whether they wanted to or not. A tremendous amount of lives were lost as countless villages were raided and people were raped, beaten, killed or captured and forced to convert to Islam. This was a horrible shock to me. I never cared about what was going on in other countries; I never really kept up with what goes on in my own country either. This book totally opened my eyes and helps me realize that you should always stay aware of everything in your world. And something needs to be done to open everyone else’s eyes to this tragedy, so that it can be stopped because knowing is the first step. This comment has been reported to the site manager. The book "they poured fire on us from the sky" showed me that there are people in the world who need help badly. And I want to do whatever I can to prove that we need to reach out and do something. I also would suggest others to read this book. I am very saddened at myself and others that I know who take our life in the u.s for granted. If my letter does reach out to someone that will listen to one voice it tells me that there is hope still. I would like to personally than my teach Ms. Gorgie for introducing me to this book and opening my eyes to such an important event. This comment has been reported to the site manager. As a nation that was founded on the principles of God's word, it's time that the USA has the "rubber meet the road." Now is the time to act, especially during these trying economic times in America. Our nation and our people have a reputation abroad of being selfish, arrogant and spoiled. However deserved this may be, this is a chance to be different than we have been in the past. It is time to be like the One we founded our country to freely worship. Now is the time to care about those that He cares about wherever they are in this small world. This comment has been reported to the site manager. It will be reviewed and removed if inappropriate. Does our commitment to human life mean anything? Do we mean it when we agree to UN resolutions condemning human rights violations? Will we get serious or not? How many people will die before we do?This comment has been reported to the site manager. It will be reviewed and removed if inappropriate. Thank you!
