Rally Congress Salutes "Open House" Report

WASHINGTON, DC. Earlier this week, the bi-partisan coalition of the “Open House Project” produced a broad report of recommendations to increase transparency and democracy on Capitol Hill. 

As a low-cost provider of tools to help groups and citizens connect with Congress, the team here at Rally Congress salutes the work and goals of the Open House Project, and encourages Congress to seriously consider the report and to adopt its measures.

Among its key recommendations:

• Publish legislative data in structured formats
• Recognize Congressional Committees as a public resource by making committee information available online
• Share CRS non-partisan research beyond Congress
• Commit to standards and technology reform as an administrative priority
