| No to Undue Renewable Subsidization and Cap and Trade The current consensus on capital hill is that the global warming of climate change is being primarily driven by CO2 increases due to human caused emissions from fossil fuels. This claim mainly seems to be from the IPCC and their flawed peer review process and Hansens dictatorship of NASA. Also given undue credibility is AL Gore and his pseudo science claim of runaway emissions caused global warming. Al Gore is not a scientist and has no authority, less the credibility, to telling others he has the credentials to assert such unsubstantiated hysteria. For the last 10 years the temperature has leveling out and falling along with the suns isolation. There have been various dissenters from the IPCC, and others, who dispute their flawed research and peer reviewed science. On March 2~4, 2008, over a 100 renowned scientists from around the world came to New York City for the “2008 International Conference on Climate Change” to discredit the alleged consensus that humans are the cause of global warming claims. "Nature, not human activity, rules the climate"; was their consensus. The proposed cap and trade bills would cost the American economy trillions when there is no need for it. What is needed is new efficient ways of using viable energy sources which don't apply to wind farms, flat panel PV solar systems, or corn ethanol. What is primarily needed is new, efficient ways of using coal, oil, gas and nuclear. Renewables are not yet cost effective enough to replace more conventional fuel sources, it will take more research to prove them out. Therefore, we the undersigned, urge Congress, and the President, to promote bills to mine all available energy sources to help get this economy out of the doldrums. Wind has too many inherent problems to be used as a reliable energy source while PV solar flat panels are not yet efficient nor cost effective enough to offset current or future energy needs. Alternatives will have to be evaluated while researched before implementing them in the energy producer sector. For now coal, oil and gas, along with nuclear, will have to be used until new alternatives can be effectively developed and proven. Cap and trade will not facilitate this process effectively. Government mandates have led to the corn ethanol scam and the subprime mortgage mess. Carbon elimination mandates will further acerbate the problem. No to Cap and trade or carbon sequestration. No to heavy subsidization of wind and solar. No to flawed, mandated renewable plans. No to energy 'subprime' ponzi schemes such as the Pickens Plan! | |
