The Clean Energy Petition to Congress
Sign the Petition : 11,960 Letters and Emails Sent So Far
We're tired of waiting for Congress to enact the bold Clean Energy plan that America so clearly needs. As your constituent and as one of the thousands of members of ONE MILLION CALLS FOR CLEAN ENERGY, I demand action on energy. It's time for you to make Clean Energy an urgent national priority. America wants a fast-track plan that gets us off oil and onto a clean energy path. We want green jobs, climate solutions and freedom from fossil fuels. And we want it now! Congress should put politics aside and do what's right for America by passing BOLD, comprehensive clean energy legislation right now! I would appreciate a written reply to this message. | |

Wake up! The world is running out of oil. Does the prospect of fighting for control of oil resources against relatively hostile peoples who own them, when our military machine depends on those very resources to run, really appeal to you? Develop clean, renewable energy sources now before it is too late.

No more offshore drilling; no more dangerous coal mines. We need to start NOW building a new economy based on clean energy. The jobs are there and so are the people. Get going now!

Why do we continue to rely on energy that pollutes our environment and will eventually run out -- how dare we leave these problems for our children, grandchildren, etc?
Why do we continue our to use forms of energy that require our dependence on countries that are not our allies?

We had a wake up call about energy in the 70's. We just hit the snooze button. The BP oil spill and never ending war in the middle east is another wake up call. Don't hit the snooze button again, we can't afford to sleep any longer.
