I am an individual who runs a small business and trading is a big part of our revenue engine. We had nothing to do with Wall Street's reckless behavior! This tax would unfairly add to our monthly operating cost.

Please hold all companies that have losses / bad debt accountable; whereby realizing the loss from an accounting standpoint on their own balance sheets. Risk and Reward - risk was accepted with hopes of rewards. The opposite side of that trade is a loss. The same principles apply to all traders (big or small) in the financial markets. Do not pass this cost structure on to all who trade in response to a select few institutions that refused to accept the consequences of their actions and accept the loss associated their speculative activities.

Why does government insist on punishing people who have done nothing wrong? How does reducing the amount of trading people do or putting them out of business altogether help "Wall Street" payback the taxpayers?

I am retired and have little income other than what I make day trading futures and options. More than a 1000 trades a year.
Taxing these would put me out of business.

Wall street charges us the average investor fees to make trades. All this will do is take the money from the investor not the broker. And if it did the brokrage houses are just going to add to the traders cost.

This would definitely make financial markets less liquid (probably much less). If it passes, do you really think that the gov't is going to "repay" the taxpayers? There is a dangerous trend starting here.

The proxy of mathematics rules all momentum in our universe. As usual the ones with the purpose of simply inducing chaos chew and spew at the bit. The imposition is not a tax in deed it is merely a deterent mechanism to stunt the free floating system of balance, and tip the controling edge to the deceiver (Zion)...

Requiring taxpayers to fund bailouts of companies that take reckless risks strikes at the very heart of the free market spirit that once made America great. This tax will further weaken America's free markets.
