I would not have been able to afford to clothe my three children without the help of garage sales and consignment shops and both my husband and I have full time jobs. I know that my sister would have had immense difficulties as well if I had not passed those clothes on to her daughter. Please do not allow this to happen. This comment has been reported to the site manager. It will be reviewed and removed if inappropriate. Thank you!

Without consignment type shopping, I will be able to provide less for my children. I don't have to decide between food and soccer shoes... with consignment stores I can afford both!!This comment has been reported to the site manager. It will be reviewed and removed if inappropriate. Thank you!

Please, Please help!!! I depend on second-hand stores to cloth all of my family. In today's economy it is the only way. We support our family of 4 on one income under 30K annually. I will not be able to afford clothes for my kids if I can no longer buy second-hand bargains. And also, what a terrible waste! Please, Please Help! This comment has been reported to the site manager. Why are these measures needed in the first place? We do not trust each other. Our nation is intoxicated with lawsuit mania. If a MANUFACTURER is proven NEGLIGENT in recalling a product, or producing a product that is proven harmful, it must be required to pay restitution to those injured. But the retailer/reseller should not be punished. This is another way of bringing down the free market system. This comment has been reported to the site manager. If this law goes into effect, the ONLY people this law is going to help are the very people who caused this law to happen. Toy and clothing manafactures who took their companies to China, where most of the recalled items originated from, for cheaper production. What should have been done is HUGE fines to the manafactures for bringing their less than desirable goods into the US, bringing the factories back to the US and revamping the government control for allowing the products in this Country. This law will devistate many families who depend on resale shops to provide for their children with the necessary things as well as the little extras families are having to do without now day's. Resellers are going to be devistated as well, in these tough economic times many people are turning to resale shops, yardsales and non-profit orginazations. With the massive loss of jobs already, Country wide, can we really afford to shut the doors of many of these business's as well? Many people who used to have jobs are now reselling to put food on their families table, must we take that away from families as well? Please stop this 'Big business' law from going into effect! For the most part when a recall would come, parents would either return or dispose of the products. This law will do nothing more than further burden US families, further add to our national debt as well as State and County debt due to the loss of tax revenue. This comment has been reported to the site manager. If this is true it sure is a terrible shame that this would happen. So many can not afford to buy clothing for their children off the racks and some just enjoy being able to save a dime and donate items that are no longer of use to them but are a treasure to someone else. Please do not enforce this! This comment has been reported to the site manager. It will be reviewed and removed if inappropriate. Thank you!
