We the people expect that our elected officials behave in a manner consistent with integrity and the sacred honor of public service. You are representing us and we expect you to act like it!

We expect that no member of the house or senate will accept any material gift and/or money and/or favors and/or meals or drinks from anyone including lobbyists at anytime.

We expect that any member of the house or senate will immediately resign if arrested and found guilty (and/or pleads to a lesser charge) of any felony criminal offense. We expect that our lawmakers, at the very least, follow the letter of the law.

    Congressman Wilson needs to make a public apology to the American people for his outburst. He not only disrespected our President and the office of the President. He disrespected me and the American public.
    This was a disgrace. The world is watching. Our children are watching. We tell them they ought to show respect for their principles, teachers, the elderly, the schools the churches. Congressman Wilson is not a good role model for our children and the future leaders of America. There should be a code of ethics added regarding Congressman who lie in public without any official documentation of the truth. For example the birther movement, death panels or calling the president a lie, a false accusation not based on truth or document.

    The Founding Fathers, your Fathers and Mothers, would be sick and ashamed to see how Congress is acting now. I am disgusted in my Government and the corruption and spending going on there in Washington.

    I am a nurse and have worked in my profession for 40 years. I have NEVER been able to accept special gifts that have been offered to me, nor would I accept them because of my ethical idealology.
    Congress and members of congress, in my opinion have lost their way and tend to work for themselves and not the people of this country. Both Republican and Democratics, as well as Indpendents should reflect on their own practices and stop the behavior that has been displayed in the last few months.
    Shame on Nancy Pelosi, Barney Franks, and Chris Dodds for their contribution to poorly displayed manners and lack of concerns for the American People.
    I am sick and tired of those in congress...They all make me sad for my countryt.

    We have so many corrupt, greedy officials, not to mention tax invasion officials that President Obama seated. Why are there double standards for elected officials???? We do not trust the corrupt & greedy officials.
