As a member of FreedomWorks, I oppose government-run health care and the trillions of dollars in new taxes that would have to be taken from the people to pay for the legislation. I also oppose employer and individual mandates, which force citizens and businesses into making decisions based on what the state wants, and not what makes the most sense for the individual or the small businessman.

Instead of crowding out the private insurers through a subsidized government option, Congress should vote for market-based reforms like allowing citizens of all states to purchase health insurance across state lines.

I hope that you will vote against any government-run health care legislation, and the trillions of dollars in taxes that go with it.

    Get back to the Constitution.Be fiscally responsible.Stand up for the world's best healthcare-don't trash it just insure the uninsured. Try torte reform. Look at other countries with socialized medicine and the poor healthcare. Finally, don't give us healthcare you won't accept for yourself.

    I know full well the problems with medicare and MA insurance since I work in a hospital - there is massive waste - the whole system doesn't need fixing - I'm 64, I don't want congress gutting medicare - I worked all my life for what should be there for me when I retire - DO NOT PASS THIS MESS

    At no time did the founders ever dream the government would be responsible for taking care of the people. People take care of themselves, government protects the rights of the individual to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, does not guarantee health care coverage.

    This is not about "health care". It's merely unhealthy politics. I would implore our senators to review the Constitution and be guided by it.

    Stop the spending and start listening. We the people by overwhelming majority are saying no to govt run healthcare. It is time you start doing what your employers are demanding of you.
