    I believe that it is the least we can do for the military to allow free mailing of letters and packages to our military as a way to thank them for protecting us and keeping our country safe from terrorists.

    Our troops should have their packages shipped for free and we should be able to send them packages within reason for free as well. This will ensure that additional expense will not be added on to the brave men and woman that fight for our country and for freedom.

    Last year, both of my sons were in Iraq. Next year, they will both be in Afghanistan. I wasn't able to afford sending them as much as I would have liked because I had to factor in mailing costs.

    I cannot even understand why we are having to petition for this. Our Senators and Congressman should have already taken care of this for our serving men and women. Packages from home means higher morale.

    My son spent a year in Iraq and the sacrifice he made along with the family should have been more than enough to pay for the postage to send him pieces of home and keep his spirits up. The cost of postage was more times than not more than the cost of the contents. Our military sacrifice so much, it's the least our Congress can do by offering this benefit to them.

    How any "Elected" representative of our Patriots, and their Families, can oppose this is beyond my understanding. Who are you, in Washington, DC? Ya'll are surely sending a distinct message to your electorate to re-evaluate their decisions about how we have entrusted our representations unto You. This bill is a no-brainer. Why would anyone disagree with such a human, compassionate effort to waive any costs to those that wish to keep our Soldiers well, Morally, Spiritually and Mentally. This Law should be passed with unanimous support for those that have enlisted of their own Free will, for their Love of Country...

    with a soldier in afghanistan, i send things frequently, and cannot fit all i want in the standard box,plus the cost is only discounted by 2 dollars.. not enough. please pass this bill for our military families.

    Our soldiers put their live in risk, like I did in Kwait 1991, now with this Administration we are consider terrorist according to the secretary of home land security,my nation is going down, my president dont care, he went neeling to the pres. of Saudi, my heart cry for my nation my colors, my army,my pride as a ret. us soldier.God have mercy on us..we are going down the road..this administration put the FBI and CIA files open to public...our nation is in risk, our values , our courage
    our prestige as a nation, but no matter what we need to pray for this administration wright or wrong we all together ...we are AMERICA..a nation that in a time was under God with Liberty and Justice for all.

    I've sent things before - the forms you have to fill out and the cost are ridiculous. Please help make it as easy as possible to send a little bit of home to our soldiers fighting to ensure our safety so far away.

    These men and women are risking their lives for our freedom. The LEAST we can do is to be able to send them some comfort from home at no cost. That is a small sacrifice for the Government to make considering the sacrifice these men and women are making!!!
