Another Government Avoided Inconvenient Truth!!!

Chase Home Finance is Destroying America. There are Tens of Thousands of us all over the country EVERY MONTH, (This number is going up exponentially) that are being unjustly forced into Foreclosure. I myself represent just one of the many that have had TWO or MORE house payments HELD, or "LOST" as they put it, and used as a means for FORECLOSURE. CHASE Foreclosed on me 12/04/2007, and they found my 3 payments on 12/06/2007. HOW CONVENIENT. Seems my payments went from Phoenix, AZ to Los Angeles, CA to Columbus, OH then back to me UNDEPOSITED. They said they were returned because there was no Account# listed on the MEMO line. Well, my 8 digit Loan# was in plain site on the Memo line. And the letter was opened by my Attorney, so there is the proof that I'm not lying, because I took the letter straight to him, and we opened it together.

( JP Morgan / Chase Home Finance) needs to be investigated for FRAUD, Fraudulent Practices, and Flat-Out Discrimination. This is not just CHASE from what I am hearing, and this kind of FRAUD is not limited to just them. DEFRAUDED out of the American Dream, sad to say, but very true. Tens of Thousands of us are being mistreated for the greed of a corporation. And not a single Attorney I have talked with, and provided the proof to, is willing to take this Monumental Case because of the size of JP Morgan, owner of Chase Home Finance.

When are Corporations too large?? I'll tell you when; it's when the Attorneys refuse to stand up to them, with proof in hand, and take them down!!

I think its time we "Took Back our Country" If you feel the same, put your story on here and lets make some change!!! Pass this web address around to EVERYONE, it is time we stood up, said we aren't going to take it any more, and ACT AS ONE VOICE.

By Attorney Recommendation, I have now setup a Foreclosure Victims MySpace Page, in the hopes of reaching as many people as possible so we can organize our information, seek a reputable Attorney, and SUE Class-Action Style these thieving Mortgage Companies. This is the Web-Address:

People signing the "Chase Home Finance" petition!

  1. My husband and I are in our 50's and also victims of Chase Home Finance. Our mortgage payment went up $700 in July of 07. (From $2700 to $3400) We managed to pay that until Jan or Feb. of 08. My husband is a truck driver who owns his own truck. When gas prices soared, our income declined. We went into "modification" with Chase the end of Jan. 08. My husband called numerous times during this process. He would leave message after message and not receive one returned call. It took a long time before he finally got a real person. He was told not to make any payments, we were still in "modification" and to work on paying our other bills, which we did. He was also told it would take approx. 90-120 days for the modification process. (At first we were told it would take 6-8 weeks) We were never contacted by Chase, my husband would call them every few weeks to check on how things were going. Of course no one would answer and my husband would leave messages to call him and of course, no one called! We finally got a letter in June stating that our payment would go down slightly. Our interest rate went up 3% last July and they only dropped it 1.5%. The letter stated that the new payment would be reflected in our next billing statement. We assumed it was the result of our "modification". My husband tried calling to find out what we had to do, since he was told by one woman that we would have to pay a "portion" of what we were behind (sort of like a closing cost). He finally reached someone on Aug. 12th, asking what the next step was. He was informed that our "modification" was denied July 31st. and that we were in foreclosure and that our sale date was to be the 14th! WHAT??? We were NOT notified of this decision via phone nor mail. I then called to find out what more we could do to save our home. I was told we could go into "modification" again. I then asked if we should send any money to start trying to catch up and I was told no. If and when this "modification" went through we would have to pay ALL of our back payments PLUS attorneys fees! That would add up to approx. $30,00.00! If we had that kind of money laying around we wouldn't be in this mess! So now we re-applied for "modification". It took them 6 months to do the first one. Now we have to wait longer? This is ridiculous. Our credit is shot, we can't refinance with anyone else because of course Chase has turned in lates to the credit bureaus. We don't want to lose our house and will take any steps necessary to insure this doesn't happen. By the time Chase gets through another "modification" we will probably need $60,00.00.
By the way, every time my husband talked to someone, he would take their name and would ask for that same person each time he called. Well, he NEVER spoke to the same person twice. Each person he talked to gave him a different story. As far as I know, none of those people he spoke to were ever rude to him, but every person who works for them must have their own set of rules. Also when I tried to call them the first time I was asked for my loan number by the automaton. I would dial it into the phone and get the response, "I'm sorry, we can't help you. Please hang up." And the phone would disconnect. Does that sound like a financial institution that cares? I totally agree on the class action suit. Sign me up!!!! I also agree that the government should investigate Chase's financial practices. This kind of thievery shouldn't happen in the USA! We can't start over at our age. If we were 30 years younger we might have time. We don't want to leave this legacy to our children.

  3. CHASE STEALS AND LIES!!!
In April of 2007 we went into foreclosure and we set up a payment plan to get caught up. We were fortunate enough to pay off the total amount which was over $21,000.00 by August 7, 2007 two months ahead of the payment plan. So according to our payment plan we were supposed to have been paid through October 2007. I called repeatedly to ensure that our payments were posted. We were jerked around repeatedly and told by numerous customer service representatives that our payments would take two weeks to be posted to our account. Then the last week in September 2007 we received a call from Chase the representative Tom said, "People like you don't pay your bills. You need to remember I have control over your account so you better be nice to me." When I requested a manager for two days of phone calls there was never a manager around because they were always in meetings. So in October 2007 we had to hire a lawyer to find our missing money. They refused to acknowledge our attorneys authorization to release information because they had a special form that never existed. When our attorney finally got through to them it took him two months of trying to sort the mess out which meant paying for our attorney instead of our mortgage. Once again we fell into default. The only thing left to do was file a BK to save our home. We followed our attorneys rules to this very day. Two days ago we received our July 2008 payment returned us telling us our home was in foreclosure. When I called Chase I was hung up on twice, the third call the man said your in foreclosure and we have no record of ever having received your July payment. I told him I have a letter from you company refusing my payment. He said well it's probably not from us. I hung up tried another phone number and the lady told me that there was no record of them having received our July 2008 payment so she doesn't understand why we would get our check back with a letter. I then faxed her a copy of the cashiers check, letter and overnight confirmation receipt. I then called to ensure she received the fax and told me to go ahead and send the payment back via regular mail because obviously it was their error because there are no codes for not accepting a payment or our BK that was confirmed in June2008. I told her I will send it just like I did earlier in the month certified so I can track the delivery. She advised me that it was unneccessary since she already noted our account. Chase lies and steal from customers just so they can foreclose on a home for no reason. Why would they want a home that someone is willing to pay for?

To Whom it may Concern :

We have been home owners for 10 years. We originally purchased our home in August 1998, since that time we have paid over $140,000 toward the purchase of our home, which was originally purchased for $103,619. We refinanced to an ARM in 2004 to $136,000 and that mortgage was later sold to Chase Home Finance. We are now in danger of losing our home to foreclosure. While we take ownership of the fact that we have had trouble paying our mortgage over the past few months we believe that we would not be in foreclosure today if it was not for the poor business practices and communication of Chase Home Finance.
My husband was then laid off in October. We knew at this time that this could cause us financial problems and shortly after begin the process to attempt to refinance. In November we were denied and we were unable to make the November and December payments. We did contact the bank in December to speak with them about possible payment arrangements and they referred us to loss mitigation. At that time we were pre-qualified for loss mitigation assistance. The loss mitigation specialist we were working with, Kristina McFadden, advised us that we would not be approved unless we were 90 days over due and advised us not to make January payment if we wished to be considered. We assumed they were giving us sound advice and proceeded as directed.
In February, we were told we were pre-approved for loss mitigation assistance and while we were waiting for this process to take place, we entered into a re-payment agreement with Chase which would basically allow us to put off the extra payments until June, by which time we expected the loss mitigation refinancing to be completed. We made payments as per the agreement in February, March, April, and May. In March, we also submitted a payment for January (the payment was short about $150) in our attempt to bring our account as current as possible. The documentation attached shows this information.
At the end of April, we received a letter stating that our loss mitigation assistance request had been disapproved. We went back to the bank and Ms. McFadden stated that she didn’t understand why we were disapproved and would resubmit. At this point, we began to feel in imminent danger of losing our home and so put our home on the market. We continued to make payments as arranged.
Also, during this time, there was an error with our home insurance company, who had over charged us by about $1000. We got with the company and corrected the error and, in January 2008, even change insurance companies – reducing our annual payment by $1400. Both the new insurance company and we contacted Chase, but they refused to reduce the payment or escrow account until our account was current.
In June, we went to the Chase branch to make payment and they would not accept payment because there was a code on my account saying they could not because we were in loss mitigation. We than called Chase from home who stated they would remove the code because we were no longer in loss mitigation. When we went back they still had not removed the code so we finally mailed a check with the payment on 6/5/2008. It was returned to me on 6/21/08 stating it was returned due to the fact it had to be certified funds. When we attempted to then go to the bank and pay this with certified funds, they refused to accept the funds saying that there was a flag on our account and that the account was in full foreclosure. They stated they could only accept the full amount of the mortgage. We began looking for a lawyer at this point and on 7/2/2008 we retained Mr. Michael Herbert to represent us in this matter. We received written notification of the foreclosure on 7/7/2008.
Throughout this process, especially in the last few weeks, Chase has refused to discuss the situation with us. We either get people saying they can’t discuss our account because of the flag or we get transferred from one department to another until we get voicemail or a notice that someone will call us back, which does not occur. We have turned the matter over to our lawyer but feel this formal complaint is necessary as the poor communication and advice from Chase employees is what has us now in a situation where we may lose our home over the next couple of months.
At this point, we would be willing to work with Chase to either refinance through the loss mitigation program or to move the missed payments to the end of the mortgage, as these were some of the alternatives we originally were led to believe were possible through the loss mitigation plan. As we have now had to obtain the services of a lawyer, unless Chase pays lawyer fees also, it is going to be very difficult to both pay the lawyer and catch up on the payments. We do still have our house on the market and will end up selling if we can get a buyer in this housing market. Even if this occurs, we still believe the additional charge that Chase has added due to the foreclosure proceedings should be waived at payoff.
Most importantly, we believe Chase’s business practices should be investigated also to ensure other homeowners don’t fall into the same trap that we have been immersed in. From searching the internet, we feel that we can safely say that we are not the only ones having mortgage issues with this company nor the only ones who feel Chase is responsible for increased foreclosures. We would request that Chase’s lending practices would be closely examined for both legal and ethical practices. Thank you for looking into these issues. I am looking forward to your response.
    Sincerely
    Peggy Rounds

  9. I am a victim of Chase Mortgage's practices in deception and unethical practices. I have been looking for a group of people that could help strengthen our cause. Tired of being one low voice against Chase Mortgage. Chase is a Bully and they lie. We have asked on several occassions if they had a loss mitigation department ... we were advised no that they did not. Our situation of lies, deception and unethical practices has had us upset. There seems to be no help when you are one low voice. There is a reason why they have a F rating on the BBB. We will continue to try to get our voices heard... thought that it would be nice if the government could help expedite the process.. before they hurt more people who do not have the ability to fight.

    Re: Loan #23286271
    Loan #23286263

    To Whom It May Concern:

First and foremost, I'd like to start off by saying that Chase Home Finance LLC is the WORST banking institution that I have ever dealt with. I have been a homeowner since July 1970 and have dealt with many mortgage companies/banks ever since but you are the worst. Your record keeping is TERRIBLE!

My 87 year old Mother, before she developed dementia, use to say that she felt the people in the offices were on drugs. That's how bad she found services and inefficiencies to be. At age 67, I am inclined to agree with my Mother. Having spent my 30 year career with the Federal Government with the last 25 of those years operating computers and making financial disbursements, I feel well qualified to come into Chase Home Finance LLC and assist in their daily operations, correctly.

I have since sent numerous emails to them and letters but they have done nothing to correct their inaccurate records.

I don't see how the US Government can assist such an incompentent institution and allow people to be foreclosed on because of THEIR ERRORS!

Although I am current on my 2 mortgages, they are INCORRECTLY showing that I am 2 months in the arrears. Here in Georgia (a non-judicial foreclosure state, one only has to be 3 months behind before foreclosing).

Bare in mind, that I am 67 and my Mother is 87 with dementia. I am retired from the US Customs service and my Mother from the City of New York. Where do we go if we are put out?

I don't have the energy to make another move.

  13. My wife and I were victimized by Chase Home Finance over the past several years after they bought out Bank One who was the mortgage
company we originally refinanced with several years ago.
They claim to have received payments late even when they receive
them well in advance just so they can destroy your good credit
and charge all kinds of late fees that they pocket directly.
They advertise on TV as being this high spirited lending institution
that customer satisfaction is their priority when in reality, the only
concern they have is to steal from the consumer. The ironic part of
the whole greedy organization is that they actually convince their
own employees that what they are doing to their customers is actually
    justifiable.
We fell into arrears on our monthly payments in April of 2007 due to
a temporary disability condition I was diagnosed with and were no longer
able to meet our monthly obligation so we attempted to sell the home
last summer to no avail as we couldn't get any bids on the house with
everyone claiming that the price was too high but Chase could never
seem to give us a proper payoff amount. Each time we called them the
amount was thousands of dollars off from the previous quote and way
out of the price range that people were willing to pay for the home that
I had possession of for nine years.
We attemped to rent the property out as we were relocating out of State
but Chase said that in order for us to rent it, we first had to catch up
our arrears which was about 6 months of payments and I was still
unemployed at the time so that option was out even though we had
someone willing and wanting to rent the property at our asking price
but Chase refused to work with us so we could eventually get the payments caught up and possibly sell the home later on. Once we moved
out of State, we had to turn off the utilities leaving it impossible
to show the house by realtors so the house sat vacant and cold in sub-zero temperatures the past few months. We received notice that the home
was scheduled for auction on Feb. 20, 2008 but on the 19th, Chase called
us and said they were required by law to contact us to try to keep us in the home. They rescheduled the auction for the 28th so we called a local realtor back there and had him go look at the property and he said
not only could he get a certain price for it but he even had a potential
buyer in mind. He called Chase and informed them that he could get the
property sold for this certain amount which would be more than the payoff amount and Chase refused to work with him. Even refused to accept
a "short sale" purchase as they were only interested in refinancing the property with us and with me not working full time, we couldn't afford
the payments on a home we weren't living in any longer so they decided
to let the auction go through that next week and ultimitely wound up
buying the property back for well below the payoff amount and now they
want to stick me with the remaining amount of $52,000 when they could
have let the realtor sell it or buy it and pay the entire loan off.
The lady at Chase informed me that this is how an auction works and they are entitled to retrieve their losses from me even though they can
easily resell the property and recoup their losses at a potential profit. I explained to the lady that I had over $60,000 of my own money
invested in the property that I will never get back and I surely am not
going to pay them an additional amount of $52,000 in a repayment plan
that I will never benefit from so we are now in the process of filing
bankruptcy to try to alleviate the entire situation losing all the credit I tried so hard to build over the years.

  15. Of all the creditors i have had to deal with CHASE HOME FINANCE HAS BEE A NIGHTMARE. I do mean nightmare where nights i did not sleep because I was afraid I was going to lose my home. Got caught up in the sup-prime lending mess with them. My hours on my job were reduced. With house payments going up every 6 months and hrs reduced tried to work out something with Chase to keep my home. They recommended me to Loss Mitigation Dept. Sent in all info needed and after 5 months of waiting they denied me. Now I am stuck with high mortgage payments and CHase has ruined my credit reporting late payments every month. Now I am unable to refinance. They have even given me foreclosure threats. This company is into predatory lending and needs to be STOPPED.

  17. my mortgage slipped into fore closer and the total amount i owed was $7048.00 so i paid $6000.00 and was forced into a repayment plan with chase, the repayment plan is $445.54 more then my regular payment and is for 10 months. i have 3 months left on this plan, i have sent letters and made 12 phone calls a month to a Yolanda Moore at chase home finance in the home owners assistance department, fist i asked why i had to pay $4455.54 for a $1048.00 difference this Yolanda Moore told me "because i said so and if you don't i will reject your $6000.00 payment and fore close on your home." so i asked her for a copy of my payment along with ledger stating what i owed and what the fees were because i wanted to know what i was paying for she told me she didn't have to.
so after calling these people a hundred times i find out that they have lost all of my escrows and they are telling me i am negative so i have sent them every document i have showing them that i actualy still have over $4000.00 in my escrows even after they paid my taxes and insurace, there reply was "after a careful review of your escrow account, your negative balance in your escrow account is valid." so i asked how they could lose my money and tell me i owe them when i gave them a copy of all the money i paid into escrows and a copy of all the paid property tax bills and a copy of all the paid insurance bills and a copy of all moneys paid into escrows at closing there reply was "the title agency must have lost it take it up with them." now if that was the case don't you think chase would have contacted me then rather then wait 2 years later to say oh we never recieved your money from the title agency further more that is the title agency they sent me to and i have never heard of such a thing that the title agency lost all of some ones down payment. all i hear about is how every one is losing there homes because no one makes there payments and the banks are suffering bla bla did any one ever stop and recall this one brief phrase that our parents would
say to us when we were little " NOW YOU KNOW A 1000 PEOPLE CAN'T BE WRONG AND 1 PERSON BE RIGHT SO WHY DON'T YOU THINK ABOUT IT?" how many home owners are loosing there homes because the banks are loosing or stealing our money? and is it possible the banks are pulling the wool over everyones eyes and turning fore closer into a market because you don't purchase a house at fore closer you purchase a house at market value after the bank paid some one to paint it all 1 color and lay new carpet. how long has this been going on for? fore closer has been going on for ever yes but if these banks were realy not stealing from us home owners and millions of people are loosing there homes wouldn't these banks be broke? and wouldn't these PMI companys be no longer existing? i don't know about the PMI companys but i do see some of these banks just getting bigger and bigger. then every once in a while i hear some crap about how some bank is being investagated right and were all suckers. nothing every changes and we all just keep losing more yet i don't see any of you going with out i invite you to live a day of my life and i am certin you would shoot yourself, see most of us lower middle class worked our buns off to get a small home in a nice school district for our kids and for fun we mow our grass and do our laundry on our 1 day off a week. i think you people that we voted in office would be able to solve the problems in this country if you actualy knew what we live like and how we feel and the felling of OH MY GOD WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO felt like. then again why would you care nothing directly affects you now does it? the twin towers did you feel what being burnt felt like?nope this stupid war do you feel what it's like being shot ,blown up, or what it was like to loose a spouse that you couldn't wait to see after them being gone at some stupid war where it is never going to change? nope. you don't know what real life is sure mabey you visit but you have never lived it not even a day try it some time and mabey you will be a little less stupid. hope to see you soon in the real world my home is open to you any time and we will always welcome you.

  19. Chase Home Finance is the most corrupt business out there. They give wrong payoff figures and do not refund the extra monies; they lie; they tell you to postdate a check AFTER you have requested a payoff figure. They say if you don't do that, they have the right to foreclose. They are totally uncooperative and take days to provide a payoff figure so they can continue to accrue per diem charges. I had to open an OCC complaint before they would give the payoff amount.

And, the worst is...they put a negative on my credit report for late payments from Nov, 2007. I paid December 2007 and january 2008 on time. But, when the account was paid in full in the end of January, 2008, they submitted another negative to the credit bureau for the same lateness from November. My credit score was 724 before I got involved with Chase.

Thank goodness I am done with them. They continually gave me the impression that they wanted to foreclose.

  21. I too have been a victim as part of there business processes, but this is what I learned. You are a customer of hundreds of thousands. You are now a number, part of an algorithm in their systems that has rules, to which majority like outsourced customer care doesn't care or know, but simply abides by them. Consumers have little impact on the effectiveness of the corporation's operations. Their stock continues to climb, their mergers, their buy outs, the top tier moves forward, with little regard or concerns to those that are under the lower end of the wing.

However, consumers empower them. But as well, consumers are obligated to them. The only way to lessen the power of the corporation is to unite in the thousands to withdraw your bank account, make life changing events, and change your financial institution. Of course, they know that takes time, and while you change, the next consumer is blinded by their creative marketing and stature in the industry.

Through my investigations of my issues, I have monitored them through Google.com/finance and watched their stock trending, in comparison to their news releases and researched many issues consumers have faced over the last several years. I am compiling research of the company's statistical trending and the effect of their size to their ability to provide effective services at their size. A company that dominates buy outs and mergers, and collects more and more consumers will inevitably have flaws in logistics to manage those consumers, and thus forth the consumer becomes a victim as part of the company's greed and growth and inability to effectively provide the service to the consumer.

I believe in this day and age, consumers can change the face of a corporation. Consumers changed the way AOL did business by exploiting the customer service call over the web. A consumer of Sony, exploited Sony's tactic of putting spyware on their cd's and movies, costing them 25 million in a class action. So, it will just simply take the right voice and the right findings to exploit Chase.

In the meantime, keep doing things like this, and withdraw from doing business with them and spread the word!

  23. I am a woman, 56 years old, and homeless. With my pets, I am living in a backyard and work in exchange for this space. There are four homes in foreclosure now on this street that I know of. Several friends have already lost their homes and many more are in immediate danger of losing theirs, even though each one is employed and most not behind on mortgages. Those with sub~prime loans are particularly vunerable and without options to save their homes. Congress must muster the will to help curtail what is already a crisis in housing of every kind in the USA.

  29. WE ARE MORE THAN JUST A NUMBER IN YOUR DATABASE.
These issues need to be looked into deeply. I just saved my house from a foreclosure but it took me and many other agencies like the FTC, Department Of Commerce, Attorney General and the OCC 12 weeks to get answers they would not give me personally. I almost hired an attorney to go after them because the situation was so obvious that they were misleading us to delay time in order to drive up more cost. I recorded and had monitored most of every conversation I had with this business. I believe they are deliberately confusing their many clients who are struggling with their payments thus using this confusion to gain the house. It wasn't until I had a letter written to the CEO and CFO of Chase that things began to proceed faster. I have family members who work for banks and who know how to word things. It shouldn't take this to get answers. It shouldn't take this many people to pressure Chase Home Finance LLC just to get the truth we are due. At the end of the whole ordeal, we ended up paying $8500.00 to bring every thing current. We later had the attorney fees waved but they just rolled it into the loan and said we didn't have to pay that month. Slap in the face. When I look into my children's eyes, I think about how this business has destroyed other families like mine and are still on their conquest to destroy more and you're letting them get away with this. I think about how they are in the business of destroying a generation willfully or through foolishness. Either way, they are CLEARLY doing this. Our leaders can't be that blind. Their practices hide in the realm of obscurity and with the wind of the peoples voices getting heavier, the fogginess of deception will one day be made manifest. The issues of corruptive practices with these lenders are still held in silence even by news agencies....WHY? If you know about these things and continue not to use your "Power of influence" then the people will say "Blood be on your hands". These issues are posted all over the web and are simple to research. What are you doing to protect your fellow citizens? I hope this issue will become a thorn in the side of the ones who have the power to change it. These are the REAL issues and we COMMAND an answer. It's time for business practices to regain a moral standard. It's time to listen to the people. It's time for you as leaders to protect the state of Minnesota from these modern day thieves in business suits. Keep them out of our state if they have a record. I am waiting for the day when the people start marching and stand at the capital doors demanding justice. I am waiting for the day when these issues that remain in the shadows become manifest and the people see them for what they are, Immoral. I'm waiting for the day when the people wake up from the slumber of being ignorant and will no longer tolerate this type of threat to there liberties. J P Morgan Chase etc. has lost it's good name among the simple and I pray all that is stored up to bring the people justice will be dished out in full measure to this business because AGAIN it's been caught with it's hand in the money jar due to greed. This is nothing new. They have been caught before in scandals.

  31. They held my payments as well. The did a loan modification for us and we are trying to get ends to meet in order to make the payments. They did a work up on our income and bills we pay. I don't understand how our work up states that we can afford this amount. Now our payment must be sent by certified funds or they will be returned. We were trying for about 2-3 months to get a loan modification and they sent our mortgage to forclosure instead of talking with us. Right after we sent our answer out to the state of New Jersey and Chase's lawyer they finally called us to set up the modification. During all the times that we tried to contact them they never had the records in the computer. Even paperwork that we sent through the mail and faxed to them was not recorded.

  33. Chase had 2 months of payments in my escrow account. I tried for almost a year to get them to take the surplus from my escrow and reapply it to my account and now I am in foreclosure. This has to stop.................

  35. I didnt have Chase, but I do have a bank here that knows how to "Complicate Transactions",
So you can't find how they stole your money.

    2nd time-$875.00

I almost got the house paid for.
I was one payment behind[15 days]
and they threatened to forclose and already had
    the board commitee involved.

  39. Chase Home Finance, LLC did not pay the taxes even though $5,000 is held in escrow annually to pay insurance and taxes.
On 12-14-07, I received a MUD bill (Chimney Hill Municipal Utility District). The bill was faxed successfully to Chase Home Finance, LLC by myself as well as Chimney Hill MUD.
On 12-31-07, the bill was not paid and cannot be claimed on Federal Income Tax Form. Chase Home Finance, LLC gave me the runaround after speaking with several supervisors in the TAX department. On 1-9-08, a single check payment was supposedly sent to MUD, as payment was not sent on an electronic tape.
On 1-18-08, I received notice from Harris County Tax office advising that the county taxes have yet to be paid.
On 1-18-08, I checked all taxing entity websites and ALL, Harris County, Cy-Fair School District and Chimney Hill MUD REFLECT ZERO PAYMENT MADE FOR 2007 taxes.
I have written a qualified written request letter to Chase per RESPA, along with copies to Federal Trade Commission, Office of Thrift Supervision, HUD, Texas Attorney General, Office of Comptroller of Currency, and all other available federal and regulatory departments that oversee fraud, ALL TO NO AVAIL.
The state property laws in Texas still make the homeowner responsible for tax payments even though the mortgage servicing company has held funds to make these payments.
This is outright THEFT and egregious fiduciary violations, that a mortgage company can collect payments for TAXES but REFUSES to pay them.
What good is RESPA when HUD will not take action against a mortgage servicing company NOT PAYING TAXES ON TIME to avoid property liens when the ESCROW ACCOUNT holds the funds??
I sincerely hope that someone in government will finally represent the people and take a serious action towards mortgage servicing companies that commit FRAUD.
