Please vote yes on S. 1648 which is a bill co sponsored by Sen. Feingold and Sen. McCain. S. 1648 is a bill to amend the Federal Election Campaign Act of 1971 to replace the Federal Election Commission with the Federal Election Administration, and for other purposes. This bill would reform the FEC into a Federal Election Administration by reforming the terms and reducing the number commissioners who serve from six to three. This would end the current state of partisan deadlock which is occurring in the FEC. Under the bill one of the members would be required to be either and independent unaffiliated or third party commissioner. This bill will bring more of a true representation for Americans to Washington in regards to elections. Voting for this bill will also bring about a more efficient system of operation for the FEC or any new organization similar to it.
